Why Plan Chicago Bears Fans Transportation for the Season?
Season tickets this year? Call (866) 666-0112 or check real-time rates and book online. Standing game-day reservations for every home game.
Quick Answer: Chicago Bears fans transportation works best as a season plan, not a game-by-game scramble. Season-ticket holders can set a standing reservation for every home game, share a Sprinter with their regular group to split the cost, and keep the same chauffeur all season. Plan to arrive 2–3 hours before kickoff if you tailgate, allow extra time for December weather, and add playoff dates as soon as they’re announced.
Chicago Bears fans transportation is something most season-ticket holders plan one Sunday at a time. Someone drives, someone parks, someone gets stuck in the lakefront lots for an hour after the game, and the same debate happens the following week. Over a full season, that’s a lot of Sundays spent on logistics instead of football.
A better approach is to plan once. Set up your rides for every home game in September, book the right vehicle for your group, and let one chauffeur handle the lakefront traffic all season. Your group’s only job is showing up in navy and orange.
As a Chicago limo service based in Northbrook and Lake Forest, we drive Bears fans from the city and suburbs every home game. Here’s how to build a season-long ride plan that works.
For single-game details, like where to drop off, how tailgating works and how to get out of the lots, see our lakefront stadium transportation guide.
Why Season-Ticket Holders Plan Rides in Advance
Every home game is the same problem
Soldier Field sits on the lakefront, bordered by DuSable Lake Shore Drive and the Museum Campus. Around 60,000 fans arrive in the same few hours and leave within the same half hour. The traffic, parking and exits are just as hard in Week 16 as they were in Week 1.
Fixed dates, fewer decisions
The home schedule is set before the season starts. Once you have the dates, booking every game at once takes one phone call instead of eight or nine separate ones.
Guaranteed availability
Big games, including division rivals, prime-time matchups and late-season games with playoff stakes, fill vehicles quickly. A standing reservation locks in your car before demand spikes.
Nobody has to drive
For groups that tailgate, a professional chauffeur means no one has to skip the pre-game or drive home after the game.
How a Standing Game-Day Reservation Works
Book the whole home schedule
Send us your group’s home games, pickup address and headcount. We’ll reserve the same vehicle for each game and confirm the details for all of them in one place.
Adjust for kickoff changes
NFL game times can move during the season, including flexed prime-time games. When a kickoff time changes, we update your pickup time. You just confirm.
The same chauffeur, when possible
We aim to assign the same chauffeur to season-long clients. By the second game, they know your pickup spot, your tailgate routine and where your group likes to meet after the game.
Easy changes
If you give away tickets for a game or your group size changes, a quick message to dispatch updates or cancels that game’s ride.
Sharing a Sprinter With Your Season-Ticket Group
Split the cost
Many season-ticket holders already attend with the same friends, family members or co-workers. A shared Sprinter seats up to 14, so the per-person cost for a season of rides can be close to what each person would spend on gas, parking and tolls.
One pickup point or several
The group can meet at one central spot, like a parking lot, a restaurant or someone’s home, or we can plan a few pickups in the same area. One or two pickups keeps game day on schedule.
Tailgate supplies ride with you
Coolers, chairs, grills and gear fit in the Sprinter, so nobody has to haul supplies in a separate car.
Choosing the right size
- Up to 6 fans: Cadillac Escalade. See our Chicago Escalade limo guide.
- 7–14 fans: Sprinter or Executive Sprinter.
- 15 or more: party bus, including our 30-passenger party bus, or a charter bus for fan clubs.
Not sure which fits? Read our stretch limo vs. party bus vs. Sprinter guide.
Planning Game Day From the Suburbs
Typical drive times to Soldier Field
On game days, traffic near the lakefront slows everything down in the last hour before kickoff. Typical drive times:
- Northbrook and Glenview: about 40–60 minutes
- Highland Park and Lake Forest: about 50–75 minutes
- Schaumburg: about 45–65 minutes
- Oak Brook: about 35–55 minutes
- Naperville: about 50–70 minutes
- The South Loop and downtown: about 10–20 minutes
When to leave
- Tailgating: Arrive 2.5–3 hours before kickoff.
- No tailgate: Arrive about 90 minutes before kickoff for security lines and finding your seats.
- Pre-game at a bar or restaurant: Plan a drop-off in the South Loop or River North, then a short ride to the stadium.
After the game
Agree on a pickup point before kickoff and stick with it all season. Post-game traffic around the Museum Campus is heaviest in the first 30–45 minutes after the final whistle, and a consistent pickup spot makes the exit faster every week.
Late-Season Weather
December and January games
Late-season games on the lakefront can bring wind chills well below zero, snow and icy sidewalks. A heated vehicle waiting after the game makes a big difference, especially for kids and older fans.
Winter-ready vehicles
Our SUVs and Sprinters are well suited to winter roads. For snowy games, we build extra time into pickups and plan routes that avoid the worst backups.
Pack for the cold
Leave extra layers, blankets and dry socks in the vehicle. You’ll be glad you did at the end of a cold fourth quarter.
Playoffs and Special Games
Add playoff dates early
When the Bears clinch a home playoff game, demand for vehicles jumps overnight. Tell us early that you want playoff rides, and we’ll reserve a vehicle as soon as the game is scheduled.
Prime-time games
Thursday, Sunday and Monday night games mean late finishes and late drives home. With a chauffeur, the late night is someone else’s problem.
Client entertainment
Soldier Field’s premium seating and suites are popular for hosting clients. A chauffeured arrival makes a strong impression. See our corporate limo service and Executive Sprinter options.
Away Game Road Trips
Following the Bears on the road is a tradition for many fans. For the trip north to Green Bay, see our Lambeau Field limo from Chicago guide. For longer trips to other division rivals, our long-distance chauffeur service covers multi-day, multi-city travel.
How Much Does Chicago Bears Fans Transportation Cost?
Game-day rides are usually booked as hourly packages. For season planning, your total depends on:
- Vehicle: An SUV, Sprinter, party bus or charter bus.
- Hours per game: A tailgating group from the North Shore usually needs 7–9 hours from pickup to drop-off. Fans who skip the tailgate need less.
- Number of games: Booking the full home schedule is simpler to plan and gives you priority on your preferred vehicle.
- Pickups: One central pickup keeps the per-game time down.
Split across a full Sprinter, the per-person cost for each game is often very reasonable. Every rate is confirmed upfront, with no surge pricing after the game. See live pricing on our real-time rates page, or call dispatch to price a full season.
Game-Day Checklist for Your Group
- Share the season schedule and your pickup address when you book.
- Pick one post-game meeting spot and use it all season.
- Check the stadium’s bag policy before each game at the official Soldier Field site. Leave anything that doesn’t meet it in the vehicle.
- Bring tickets and ID for everyone.
- Guests 21 and older may bring their own beverages in eligible vehicles, subject to Illinois law and our policies.
- Pack for the weather, especially in December and January.
